Assistive Technology Vendor Demonstration

The West Virginia Assistive Technology System (WVATS), a part of the CED at WVU, is happy to announce that Jack Wood will be doing an assistive technology vendor demonstration of the following devices:

  • EyePal from Abisee - A device connected to the computer that takes a picture of printed materials and within 20 seconds begins to read the text. Good for any non hand written printed materials.
  • Solo from Abisee - A stand alone device that does the same as the EyePal.
  • Victor Stream Reader - A device that reads various types of files and stores books, music, pod casts and text files.
  • Humanware Synergy - A desk top CCTV.
  • Hand held CCTVS - The Lookie and Versa.

Jack is a vendor representative from Fairfax, VA who specializes in devices for individuals who are blind or have low vision. WVATS staff will also be on hand to discuss devices in the Assistive Technology Loan Library and Exchange System.
