WVDDC and WVA seek personal stories about special education.
Posted: November 5, 2010
The West Virginia Developmental Disabilities Council and West Virginia Advocates are working in collaboration to develop a family friendly guide/toolkit for parents concerning special education policies.
We are seeking stories from parents and students who have successfully worked through conflicts with public school programs (Pre-K-12) through relationship building, mediation, and/or due process. Personal stories should emphasize how parents and families can be both strong advocates for their sons/daughters while being valued and respected team members.
For more information read the WVDDC's memorandum regarding the guide.
To submit your story, fill out this form.
