WVDRS 2011 Consumer Affairs Conference

Registrations still are being accepted for the 2011 Consumer Affairs Conference. Presented by the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services, the conference will be held October 31 through November 1, 2011, at the Town Center Marriott in Charleston, West Virginia.

The conference is open to all interested persons, and your participation is invited.

Preregistration is required for all participants.

ALL registrations must be received by September 30, 2011. Registrations received after September 30, 2011, will be accepted only to the extent practical.

The theme is "Power is Freedom." An outstanding team of speakers will offer information to assist consumers in knowing their civil rights; having a voice on issues that impact their lives; keeping current on state and federal issues; and receiving information about resources for their health, employment, financial security, and independence. All registered participants will be welcome to participate in a banquet dinner on Monday evening, October 31,2011; a buffet luncheon on Tuesday November 1; and refreshments during scheduled breaks.

The WVDRS Consumer Affairs Office will make ALL hotel reservations for participants whose registration forms indicate a need for lodging. Participants desiring accessible rooms should ensure their registrations are submitted promptly as the number of accessible rooms is limited.
